Here you see my "home network".
The PC is connected via HDMI cable to the flat-screen TV and with an optical cable to the hi-fi.

I watch movies from the computer hard drive on my TV. If I still want to enjoy this cinematic experience, then this works with Dolby Surround 5.1 by the hi-fi system.
The whole I control even by mobile phone.
